90 Day Fiancé superfan, Chrissy Teigen gathered footage of her mom as a mock 90 Day Fiancé star. Now all she needs is someone to edit it for her and make it a real episode.
Teigen hit the big time in modeling when she was Sport’s Illustrated “rookie of the year” in 2010 and then again in 2014 when she appeared on the cover. After that, the model-turned-TV personality landed a gig as co-host alongside LL Cool J on Lip Sync Battle and then as a judge for Bring the Funny. Teigen is also a New York Times Bestseller in 2016 with her cookbook titled Cravings: Recipes for All of the Food You Want to Eat. She is a self-professed reality TV fan has apparently just begun diving into the 90 Day Fiancé universe and she’s living for it. Since tweeting about her love for the show, saying that she specifically loved season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé.
She’s so obsessed, that she’s been taking footage of her Thai mom pretending she’s a 90 Day Fiancé star. Her mother, Vilailuck Teigen, has already created her own cult following with the Teigen fans. She tweeted this weekend about how she wants to make her own version of the show for her mom. She wrote, “I have spent the last 3 weeks filming mom as a 90 day fiancé,” She then explained in the tweet that she has the footage but has no understanding of editing, “and I have no idea how to edit this footage.” Teigen then says as soon as she learns to edit, the world will not be ready for such a mashup. She then posted some of the said footage of her mom walking arm and arm with an American man. Then another video of her in a modeling agency talking about how her American dream is to do modeling. The hilarious, short videos she’s made of her mom made fans start freaking out about the idea of Teigen’s Thai mom having her own version of the show. In fact, plenty of her followers were eager to offer up their editing services to see this project come to life. One fan wrote, “I don’t know how to make it clear that i’m not kidding and will do this, but this is my attempt.” In which she replied, “I will gather and send all footage this week! lol.” That comment alone received hundreds of likes. It looks as though Teigen has come up with a concept that already has fans hooked.
Even though her Thai mother is happily married and is already living in America with Teigen, the idea of a 90 Day Fiancé spoof with her mom is a dream come true for both 90 Day Fiancé and Teigen fans alike. It remains to be seen if the footage will ever be edited and will ever be posted for the public to see, but just to know that the footage exists is enough for fans to get excited.
