Warning: This article contains SPOILERS for Avengers: Endgame

A behind-the-scenes video from Avengers: Endgame’s big battle scene makes its way online thanks to Chris Pratt. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo’s latest entry in the MCU has finally debuted around the world, revealing how the current Thanos debacle gets resolved. Following the events of Avengers: Infinity War where half of life in the universe was disintegrated into dust when the Mad Titan snapped his fingers using the completed Infinity Gauntlet, the remaining heroes go on a mission to restore the status quo and resurrect all affected by The Decimation.

With the fate of the universe in their hands, the surviving characters, led by the core six Avengers implement the Time Heist where they travel back in time to gather all Infinity Stones in the hopes of using them again to undo what Thanos did. The mission was tricky to pull off, especially since they only have one chance to accomplish their goal. In the end, they succeeded (but not without sacrifices) in collecting all elemental crystals resulting in Mr. Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) putting on the secondary gauntlet created by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and clicking his fingers. With the dusted characters back to life, they all joined forces together in an epic battle scene against the Mad Titan and his minion. The scope of the sequence was massive, but fans now are able to see a glimpse of how it was filming it.

Pratt took it to his official Instagram account to share a video he secretly took while filming the aforementioned battle sequence. In the soundstage surrounded by green screen, he makes a sweeping shot, revealing a string of actors who were present during the process. It was surreal seeing Dave Bautista, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, and the stunt doubles for Karen Gillan’s Nebula, Zoe Saldana’s Gamora and Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange. But things get more exciting when the camera pans to Chris Evans, seemingly discussing about Falcon’s radio call with Anthony Russo and Paul Rudd while Chris Hemsworth, Sebastian Stan (who’s talking to Joe Russo), Jeremy Renner and Chadwick Boseman casually wait behind. As the video goes on, there’s also Ruffalo and Danai Gurira (seemingly talking to Tessa Thompson), as well as Tom Holland and Downey more likely discussing their scene. At the end, Sean Gunn (who does the mo-cap for Rocket) jokingly said that he’s “the most famous person here.” Pratt admits that what he was doing was illegal, but he couldn’t let something as surreal as this not be caught on camera (aside from the final product which is in the film.) Watch it below:

It’s unknown if Pratt’s getting any sanctions for sharing the video, but giving the millions of MCU fans the opportunity to see what it looks like filming these huge battle sequences through this might make it worth it. The number of A-listers in that room filming that day is mind-blowing and one could only imagine how difficult it was coordinating everyone’s schedule in a way that they all can be there. In fact, there were still several actors who weren’t on the set based on the video that partook in Endgame’s battle sequence, highlighting just how massive that set piece is in the movie.

Seeing all 11 years of MCU’s world-building have the pay off that it did in Avengers: Endgame was satisfying for a lot of fans. It beautifully wrapped up arcs of some of the most beloved heroes in the franchise in a way fitting way. After that, it’s safe to say that it will take quite a while before Marvel Studios pull off an event film as big as this as they have to establish the new chapter of the franchise first. Nevertheless, fans are hoping to see more of the BTS of filming the twin Avengers sequels perhaps once the latest blockbuster becomes available in Blu-ray.
