The Bachelor host Chris Harrison will most likely not officiate Modern Family star Sarah Hyland and The Bachelorette alum Wells Adam’s Wedding. He will, however, be watching from the audience.

Harrison became a legally ordained minister on in June of 2012, and he’s been putting his Universal Life Church Monastery online ordination to good use since then. The first couple he married didn’t actually include stars of the show, but The Bachelor producers, Cassie Lambert and Peter Scalettar. Since then, he has been the go-to minister for all of the Bachelor Nation weddings. He officiated Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Bushnell, Evan Bass and Carly Waddell, and others. The most recent Bachelor Nation wedding was that of Krystal Nielson and Chris Randone in June.

Sarah Hyland and Wells Adam became a couple back in October of 2017, which they confirmed to the public that Halloween. The couple then moved in together the following summer. Adam proposed to Hyland in June on a beach, and she went to Instagram to post about it, showing the world how happy she was. She spoke about taking the next step to marriage, saying it’s “that can’t eat, can’t sleep, reach for the stars, over the fence, world series kind of stuff." According to Us Weekly, it seems the couple is already planning the details of their big day. Check out the proposal below:

Adam says he and his bride will be doing things a little differently, especially when it comes to who will be officiating the marriage. When asked if Harrison will be the one to do the honors, he said, “Probably not, I think we’ve got a couple cool ideas for that … But Chris will definitely be there for sure.” According to Adams, the couple is intending to have a “gigantic” ceremony. Adams then went on to say that his bride-to-be will be planning the event, joking about not needing to be so involved with the decision-making.

Although being a legally ordained minister is obviously not mandatory to be a host of a reality TV show, it has become a seriously useful qualification. It’s fitting for this kind of show. Although this is one of The Bachelorette alums whose wedding won’t be officiated by Harrison, they will definitely be getting his blessing as he sits in the audience. In the meantime, fans can look forward to Harrison officiating Krystal and Chris’s wedding that will be televised during season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise.
