A first look at Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 2 shows a love triangle that will factor into the new season’s story. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina tells the story of a girl born half witch and half mortal torn between her two worlds. Although Sabrina Spellman (Kiernan Shipka) is in love with a mortal boy, as she comes into her power, she soon learns it’s difficult to walk that thin line between the world of mortals and the world of witches.
In the mortal world, she is in love with Harvey Kinkle (Ross Lynch), but things become more difficult when Sabrina starts accepting more of her witch self, eventually telling him what she is. After Sabrina begins attending The Academy of Unseen Arts, a school for witches, she meets another boy, a warlock named Nicholas Scratch (Gavin Leatherwood) and things get complicated for her.Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 1 set up the beginning of this love triangle, which will carry on into season 2, as shown in a teaser released in December 2018. As Netflix recently renewed the series for a third and fourth season, it’s likely Sabrina will continue to find herself torn between the two worlds in future seasons, too.
New first look photos from Netflix reveal Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 2 will feature a lot of focus on the love triangle between Sabrina, Harvey Kinkle and Nicholas Scratch. Check out the new photos below.
The new season, which will land on the streaming subscription service on April 5, will also feature new cast members including Angel’s Alexis Denisof, who will play the fiance of Mary Wardwell (Michelle Gomez), who is now Madame Satan. The Originals’ Jedidiah Goodacre will portray Dorian Gray, a nightclub owner who may or may not be the Dorian Gray of legend.
Season 2 has also been looking for an actor to portray its Dark Lord, which suggests that Sabrina will finally come face to face with the entity who desperately wanted her to sign her name in his book. Of course, he looms large behind Sabrina in one of the new photos. Perhaps viewers will eventually learn why Sabrina was so important to him. There is also a prequel novel in the works that will focus on the time just before season 1 takes place.
One thing that is for sure: Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 2 will offer the same kind of dark and macabre horror and humor that fans have grown to love. But the most crucial question fans have is still unanswered: When will it get a crossover episode with The CW’s Riverdale?
