Like the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Riverdale has some differences from the source material. But even though both shows are far from the comics, their characters and storylines are still pretty good and interesting to watch, especially if you like spooky teen dramas. That being said, they do have many things to compare, like high schools for example.

Both shows have several schools, but we will focus on the two main ones - Riverdale High and Baxter High - because they are the ones the majority of the main characters go to. Here are 5 reasons why we’d want to be at Baxter, and 5 why we’d want to attend Riverdale.

Riverdale: The Gang

What could be better than spending time with our favorite characters? Archie will always be there for you, Betty will find a way to have some fun when you are bored, Jughead will have deep talks with you, and Veronica will go shopping with you and teach you how to always look like a badass.

And these are just four main characters, but there are also such students as Cheryl, Kevin, Josie, Reggie, Toni, and many others. Perhaps you will even get to spend some time with the adults too. After all, F.P., Alice, Fred, Hermione, Hiram, and other parents are no less cool than their kids.

Baxter High: The Gang

No matter how cool the gang is at Riverdale, it is important to remember that Baxter High has some awesome characters that you would definitely love to hang out with too. There also have four main teenage characters: Sabrina, Harvey, Rosalind, and Theodore (earlier known as “Susie”).

When spending time with Sabrina, you will definitely meet her aunts Hilda and Zelda, and her cousin Ambrose. Perhaps Sabrina will also introduce you to Nick and Prudence, but you will definitely meet Lilith herself, because she is posing as Mary Wardwell, one of the teachers at Baxter High.

Riverdale: Creepy Events

For those who think that their life is boring, Riverdale seems to be the best option because creepy events are a norm there. There is always something going on, and even if you are not involved in it, you can jump right into it just by joining Betty and Jughead who will be inevitably investigating it.

From murders to cults to unlikely familial connections, Riverdale is full of it all. Though political intrigues and drug dealings are often connected in this town, you might be the one who uncovers these mysteries and not only gets the satisfaction from discovering the truth but also the respect for improving the life in the town this way.

Baxter High: Magic

But Riverdale is not the only place where creepy events are normal. After all, Greendale is where the Academy is located and where Satan himself has appeared multiple times - and, of course, where his daughter Sabrina currently lives, which means there is no way magic would avoid this place.

Going to Baxter High doesn’t automatically means that you will be involved in magic in some way, but if you are friends with Sabrina, the truth about who she is will sooner or later come out and you will inevitably start participating in her “other” side of life one way or the other. But that’s more cool than frightening.

Riverdale: Hot Teachers

Did you notice that most adults in Riverdale are quite hot? What an uproar Hiram Lodge’s appearance had caused back in the day and how buff even the elderly Mr. Keller looked in that workout scene. But when you look at the teachers, Mrs. Grundy is actually not the only one who comes up mind.

Mr. Honey, the new principal, is quite good-looking compared to his predecessors. Mrs. Haggly, the Chemistry teacher, is pretty too. And how can we forget about Mrs. Appleyard who recently tried to take over the cheerleading team, but Cheryl aggressively won it over.

Baxter High: Oblivious Teachers

The only thing better than hot teachers is oblivious teachers, because this means students can get away with almost anything as long as they are careful enough to cover up after themselves. And Baxter High seems to have fairly oblivious teachers compared to the ones in Riverdale.

Like, come on, there are witches and warlocks living in the neighborhood with Satan appearing here and there from time to time, and Lilith - also known as Madam Satan - taking over as one of the teachers at school. You would think that someone should have noticed by this point, but it appears that nobody is concerned even the slightest.

Riverdale: Newspaper

So far, it looks like Baxter High doesn’t have a student newspaper, but Riverdale High does, which is great because many students are often interested in writing for a newspaper. The latest generations are all about change and they need an outlet for their ideas, so a student newspaper looks like a good start.

Jughead and Betty represent such active youths the best. It’s obvious that they are truly enjoying working in the newspaper and they are very dedicated to what they do, so joining their team for anyone studying at Riverdale High would be quite exciting without a doubt.

Baxter High: Nature

Though the nature in and around Riverdale looks good, the characters don’t usually spend time there apart from looking for ritual sites while investigating yet another murder. On the contrary, there’s Greendale where nature seems to be an integral part of the town.

Sabrina is often seen walking through the woods with someone or even on her own. Anyone who enjoys hiking and camping or simply spending time in nature will definitely love going to Baxter High, because the forest is quite close to the school and you will be able to walk there quite often.

Riverdale: Cheerleading & Football Team

Cheerleading is very important in Riverdale High. Almost all the main teenage female characters are on the cheerleading team. The performances of the team are also quite good too.

But the cheerleading team would be pointless if there was no team to cheer for - in this case, the football team. Some of the main characters like Archie and Reggie are the best players on the team, so cheering for them is pure pleasure. Besides, the team has been integral to the plot many times like when they opposed the Red Hood or helped uncover the dark side of Stonewall Prep.

Baxter High: Cheerleading & Basketball Team

That being said, Baxter High also has a cheerleading team though it is not featured as prominently as the one in Riverdale. Nevertheless, it’s safe to assume that it is decent enough considering Sabrina spends time on it rather than completely focusing her attention on magic.

The main sports team in Baxter High is the all-male basketball team which, by the way, is quite important for the plot. Harvey, Sabrina’s on-and-off boyfriend, is on the team of course, but Theo also decides to join once he realizes what his identity is, which causes some uproar from the players. Yet, with Sabrina’s secret help, Theo does get on the team.
