The director of Godzilla: King of the Monsters has shared a number of incredible pieces of concept art from the movie. Godzilla’s latest cinematic adventure put him up against King Ghidorah for a battle that ultimately decided the fate of the world. Fans are calling for Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again co-stars Amanda Seyfried and Cher to star in a live-action remake of Disney’s Tangled all thanks to one picture. The House of Mouse is in the midst of recreating several of its animated features with human actors. Tessa Thompson was recently cast as the voice of Lady in a live-action Lady and the Tramp. Meanwhile a live-action remake of Mulan is aiming for a 2020 release....

China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) said it strongly opposed a move by the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to revoke China Unicom’s licence, effectively banning the state-owned Chinese telco from providing services in the US market. In its statement, the FCC had said China Unicom posed national security risks as it was subject to exploitation and control by the Chinese government. “[China Unicom] is highly likely to be forced to comply with Chinese government requests without sufficient legal procedures subject to independent judicial oversight,” the US government agency said....

CleanMyMac X by developer MacPaw is releasing a new category today called Suspicious Apps in its Uninstaller module that quickly identifies, reviews, and removes apps originating from Russia and Belarus to protect users from potential cyber threats. MacPaw explains that ever since the war in Ukraine began, cyberattacks have increased dramatically. With legislation in Russia allowing the government and affiliated companies to access private information stored on servers in the country without user consent or a court decision, the developer believes apps made or hosted in Russia and Belarus may spy on users, steal their data, or even harm their computers....

The trailer for the Child’s Play remake has arrived. Following the success of John Carpenter’s original Halloween in 1978, the ’80s saw an influx of slasher franchises like Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street, along with other less-successful movies. Arguably, though, the most unique of the ’80s slasher properties is Child’s Play, which was created by Don Mancini and kicked off in 1988. The series itself revolves around Chucky, a seemingly harmless Good Guys dolls that secretly contains the soul of a serial killer named Charles Lee Ray....

Apple has reportedly begun the process of moving at least some of its AirPods, iPad and Apple Watch production from China to Taiwan as the coronavirus continues to limit production. Cisco is introducing an all-new Webex app for iPad. According to the company, it delivers “the ultimate productivity experience with the familiarity of iPadOS.” This version of Webex supports native features of iPadOS like Split View for multitasking, Center Stage, which automatically pans the camera to keep users in view, and Picture-in-Picture for video conferencing, so users can multitask while in meetings. Cisco says Webex users on iPad will have an enhanced experience with the whiteboard using the Apple Pencil....

The continuation of Netflix’s delightfully campy and surprisingly dark Chilling Adventures of Sabrina gets off to an entertaining start with ‘The Epiphany,’ a fast-paced re-entry into the twisted teen world of the Archie Comics character that’s been re-envisioned by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa into a progressive, modern, supernatural romp. It’s a welcome return for the teen witch, who got off to a strong start on Netflix in 2018, bringing a sensibility similar to that of The CW’s Riverdale, but with fewer unhinged storylines (which is saying something when Sabrina counts the Dark Lord himself as a recurring character)....
